WATCH BROCKMIRE.

WATCH BROCKMIRE.

Seriously watch Brockmire on IFC Wednesdays at 10 PM. Its a brilliant comedy by one of my favorite actors Hank Azaria about a drunk baseball announcer down on his luck for a very specific reason, he caught his wife fucking a guy with a strap- on. Look I don’t care about baseball and you don’t have to if you watch this show, Brockmire is just brilliantly funny. It knows how to showcase its incredible actors like Hank Azaria and Amanda Peet. In fact its one of those shows that people will discover......

ABC’s The Gong Show is back… The show originally ran from 1976 through 1980 created by and starring Chuck Barris, who sadly passed away earlier this year. The show might be responsible for reality TV, it brought random “regular” people to TV.   The revival produced by Will Arnett has found their host. Arnett   had befriended comedian Tommy Maitland years ago after meeting him at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Wanting to work with the comedian, Arnett tried for years to come up with a something that was suitable and The Gong......

Agents of Shield - Renewed?

Agents of Shield can be a hit or miss per episode show but even the worst Agents of SHIELD episodes deserve our love. They are giving us great Marvel characters week after week and when its good it is reaaaaaally good! The whole cats is phenomenal and once they finally killed Grant Ward and moved on to new bad guys the show kicked into high gear! I really enjoyed the Ghost Rider beginning of this season and was equally as glad when Ghost Rider went away. The last thing I wanted was......

I absolutely love Puddles renditions of classic songs. His angelic voice and stylistic takes on these songs make them instant favorites for me even more than the orginals more often than not, I have seen Puddles a number of times and again next week in Pasadena and  I can say with 1000% certainty that if you go see him you will laugh and cry and love every second of the show. Do yourself a favor and see him live! *dates on his website http://www.puddlespityparty.com/   This weeks insta-classic is his rendition of......

KRYPTON teaser trailer is here

The first trailer for Syfy’s upcoming Krypton is here. The show will follow Superman’s grandfather on the home planet of Krypton. When I first heard about this show I had zero interest in it. Prequel tv shows are too heavy handed and often too cheesy for me but I have to say I really like the look of this show. enjoy!        ...

The Last Jedi Trailer is here!

and it’s wonderful!!! It has enough to make every excited for the movie without telling the entire movie. This is all I need until the movie opens on December 15th.   We finally hear Luke talk and more importantly it seems that grumpy Luke wants the Jedi to end. https://youtu.be/zB4I68XVPzQ  ...

Tribute to Carrie Fisher - STAR WARS CELEBRATION 2017

I am still not over this and don’t know when/if I ever will be. This one hurt, my first love, my first, heroine, my first princess. Carrie Fisher holds a huge place in my heart and I was so crushed when she passed that I couldn’t write about it…even now it’s hard for me to come up with any words befitting how amazing she was and always will be. Sure I should have taken a second to write on here everything she meant to me. I should have struggled through my tears......

Star Wars Rogue One Teaser Trailer

This is the Star Wars movie I am most worried about, the first of many that is part of the “expanded universe” all new characters (except for Mon Mothma apparently) and an all new story (kind of) We finally get to see what happens between Episode 3 and Episode 4(A new Hope) where the rebels steal the plans to the Death Star. Does it feel like a Star Wars movie? Yes. But so did the prequels trailers. I will say I love the action, love the diverse cast starring Felicity......

Happy Birthday Roy Batty

Happy Birthday Roy Batty

January 8th 2016 is the inception date for Roy Batty (Rutger Hauer) from Blade Runner. 2015 we were supposed to see hoverboards and a time traveling Marty McFly but 2016 is when the  replicant androids were supposed to be created and in 3 short years would wreak havoc on Los Angeles and especially Rick Deckard. The future we saw in films is now (or past) and yet we don’t have nearly enough futuristic dystopian things in downtown LA.  ...
