Weekly Puddles Brilliance- Chris Cornell tribute

Another edition of Weekly Puddles brilliance brings us a tear-jerker. Grunge was my time, I just turned 20, music was crap on the radio and the grunge scene happened… one by one my grunge heroes have passed on and Chris Cornell’s death hit me hard. I get it mortality is real and it’s taking my rock gods. Thank you Puddles for this beautiful rendition…and thank you all for making these the most visited weekly posts.    ...

Weekly Puddles Brilliance

This one worried me, it’s a John Lennon/Foo Fighters mash up but I should know by now that Puddles can pull it off. You see John Lennon is my music idol, growing up my older brother listened to The Beatles and John Lennon which meant I did too and I never stopped. John was/is my Beatle, I can tell you where I was when I first heard any song by John Lennon and every year I can honestly say I miss John Lennon more and more. So when I saw the title......

what's better than Supernatural?

I can say that every year I am surprised that Supernatural keeps going, not because it’s not good (it’s great) but just that they haven’t run out of ideas. Well next season, that’s season 13 for those keeping score at home, Sam and Dean will get a Scooby Doo-esque animated episode according to the upfronts in New York. If you’re a fan like me then you know the oddball comedy episode we get every season are the best. Hands down the funniest, oddest episode (like X-files did before them) and they are......

STAR TREK DISCOVERY - FIRST LOOK TRAILER

I am so happy that my first post for Hollywookiee is a Star Trek post. When the 50th came and went with very little fan fare I was saddened and when Bryan Fuller left Star Trek Discovery and its subsequent delays I was dis-heartened I would ever get a Star Trek TV show again. Today changed all of that, below is the first trailer for Star Trek Discovery and it looks like things have changed since Bryan Fuller’s departure. Originally it was said this was going to be the first Trek......

WILL & GRACE is back!

The idea of bringing back a show is a great one, the problem is they very rarely get it right. How do you update a show for a new era but keep what fans loved about it? Its just freaking hard, thankfully (judging by the trailer below) Will and Grace doesn’t seem to have this problem. They are back and we can’t wait!...

As if he was reading our minds, Puddles has covered an Elvis tune. WATCH BROCKMIRE.

WATCH BROCKMIRE.

Seriously watch Brockmire on IFC Wednesdays at 10 PM. Its a brilliant comedy by one of my favorite actors Hank Azaria about a drunk baseball announcer down on his luck for a very specific reason, he caught his wife fucking a guy with a strap- on. Look I don’t care about baseball and you don’t have to if you watch this show, Brockmire is just brilliantly funny. It knows how to showcase its incredible actors like Hank Azaria and Amanda Peet. In fact its one of those shows that people will discover......

ABC’s The Gong Show is back… The show originally ran from 1976 through 1980 created by and starring Chuck Barris, who sadly passed away earlier this year. The show might be responsible for reality TV, it brought random “regular” people to TV.   The revival produced by Will Arnett has found their host. Arnett   had befriended comedian Tommy Maitland years ago after meeting him at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Wanting to work with the comedian, Arnett tried for years to come up with a something that was suitable and The Gong......

Agents of Shield - Renewed?

Agents of Shield can be a hit or miss per episode show but even the worst Agents of SHIELD episodes deserve our love. They are giving us great Marvel characters week after week and when its good it is reaaaaaally good! The whole cats is phenomenal and once they finally killed Grant Ward and moved on to new bad guys the show kicked into high gear! I really enjoyed the Ghost Rider beginning of this season and was equally as glad when Ghost Rider went away. The last thing I wanted was......

Moon River - Puddles Pity Party

I absolutely love Puddles renditions of classic songs. His angelic voice and stylistic takes on these songs make them instant favorites for me even more than the orginals more often than not, I have seen Puddles a number of times and again next week in Pasadena and  I can say with 1000% certainty that if you go see him you will laugh and cry and love every second of the show. Do yourself a favor and see him live! *dates on his website http://www.puddlespityparty.com/   This weeks insta-classic is his rendition of......
