OK here we go!!!! believe it or not Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open May 31 at Disneyland and August 29 at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. But! its not just going to open fully with everything ready and working oh no!!! There is some I guess we will call it fine print you need to know.

When Galaxy’s Edge first opens at both at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the only ride will be the Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run ride(which I cannot wait to get in that cockpit) the second ride, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, will not be open but dont worry there will be shops and food and The Black Spire Outpost so you will still be immersed in Star Wars goodness AND reservations are required to visit the park in Anaheim between May 31 and June 23. OK lets here it from them:

Guests planning to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park between May 31 and June 23, 2019, will need valid theme park admission and will be required to make a no-cost reservation, subject to availability, to access the land. Information on how to make a reservation will be available at a later date on and the Disney Parks Blog. Guests staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels during these dates will receive a designated reservation to access Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during their stay (one reservation per registered guest); valid theme park admission is required.”

This is just “Phase One” of the opening. “Phase Two,” which includes Rise of the Resistance, will be later this year.

Disney I may be a tiny little website but for the love of the maker PLEASE let me go to a press event for this!!! PLEASE!!!!!
